The 2022 edition of the “guide Hachette”, one of the major French wine guide, has just been published. Carra 2019, AOC Pic Saint-Loup, has been selected in it, with a great note of one star and the following comment :
“Each year for the guide, the winery places this Carra (which means “stone”), a wink to the limestone soil of the Pic. In the nose, violet and blackcurrant pair with tones of juniper, laurel and black chocolate. Slightly strengthened by fine tannins, the fruit flows in the mouth with freshness, roundness and grace. Delicate and already pleasant, it is a nice evocation of the cru.”
