The last week of July marked the start of veraison (color change in grapes) in our plots. To date, the vines have not experienced any period of water stress, we are approaching the arrival of the 2024 vintage very positively.
Several conditions are met to ensure optimal development of the future harvest: the end of winter was favorable with a water regime recharging the subsoil, accompanied by a rainy spring which today allows the vines to not experience any blocking of grape maturity.
We will shortly begin sampling the grape berries in order to control both analytical and phenolic maturity (tasting of the skins, seeds and juice to assess the aromatic balance), with the aim of determining the date of the first day of the harvest. It should be around August 25th for white grape varieties and early September for the first red grapes.
