August 27th marked the starting point for the 2024 vintage harvest with the first whites, while we waited until September 13th for the first reds with Syrah grapes.
The 2024 vintage appears to be a promising harvest, combining quality and quantity. Indeed, the last rains in August favored a slow and gentle ripening of the grapes and the vines did not suffer from the lack of water. The mild temperatures that accompanied the end of summer allowed the grapes to develop slowly.
Concerning the reds, we are seeing a return to harvest dates which are closer to those of several decades ago, which we had not experienced during the last five years. This vintage already promises soft tannins and good balance.
Stay tuned to find out when you’ll be able to enjoy this new vintage in our cellar.
